Angela’s Bio

Angela is an Advanced Practice Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife with 5 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Before earning her Advanced Practice Nurse and Midwife degree, Angela worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at The University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. She also received an Honorable Discharge from United States Army after serving in the Reserves for 8 years. Before working as a Registered Nurse, Angela worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, and Certified Nurses Aid.

Her experience encompasses primary care for women across the lifespan from adolescence beyond menopause, with a special emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecologic and reproductive health. Angela performs comprehensive physical exams, prescribes medications including contraceptive methods, orders laboratory and other diagnostic tests, and provides health and wellness education and counseling. She believes in the watchful waiting and non-intervention in normal processes, appropriate use of interventions and technology for the current or potential health problems, and consultation, collaboration and referral with other members of the health care team as needed to provide optimal health care. Angela believes in health promotion and disease prevention and truly enjoys caring for women.
